Discover Abbotsford

You’ll find we have all the amenities and attractions of a modern urban core–right in the middle of one of the most beautiful and bountiful agricultural areas in Canada. This really is the best place to work, live, stay and play!

Known as the ‘City in the Country’, Abbotsford is blessed with British Columbia’s agricultural lands, family friendly hospitality and sophisticated urban amenities. Nestled on the flat lands between the Coast and the Cascade Mountain ranges, 140,000 people call Abbotsford home today.

Eat local is an Abbotsford reality. As the bounty of Abbotsford’s fertile soils were first discovered, it attracted pioneer settlers from all over the world – immigrants who established the heritage and the multicultural nature of the community. Sites such as Trethewey House were built by master craft men from India; immigrants who went on to construct Canada’s oldest Gurdwara Temple which is now a National Historic Site.
